Condition Reports for Ongoing Development of UCL Campus & New Student Block
Project Cost: £25,000,000
Our Rate: £12,000
UCL is one of London’s leading universities, since being founded in 1878 the campus to UCL has grown dramatically with its ongoing success.
G. Dolden & Associates Ltd was commissioned to carry out condition surveys to the UCL Bloomsbury Theatre, Gordon Square and Bernard Katz Building within the campus. This was to prepare the site for the new Student Centre being developed, by MACE Construction.
The new Student Centre was an estimated £25 million development and UCL has an average £1 Billion worth of developments going on at any one time.
Our role was crucial to the pre-construction phase for the Student Centre to detail and outline the condition of all areas which may be affected by the works. The proposed Student Centre was to be built within millimetres of Gordon Square and the Bloomsbury theatre with below ground development and piled foundation, so the risk and potential for damages was high.
