Rear Extension and Internal Alterations
The Building owners of this Historic & listed building were suffering with poor design features and layouts incorporated to the property during adaptations in the 1960’s.G Dolden & Associates Ltd was employed to complete a full design and build project for this Grade II listed building, to increase is functionality and desirability for a young family looking to move into this historic building.
The proposed works consisted of the full removal and reconstruction of the rear single storey extension to create a larger open plan Kitchen / Dining Room, The proposed scheme was designed to utilize the modern day aspiration of a large open spaces and natural lighting, while providing direct access to the garden.
As part of our works, we completed a full design process working with the homeowners to accommodate their needs and aspirations; the initial Planning Permission was declined due to the refusal of Listed Building Consent. G Dolden & Associates carried out a timely appeal and permission was won through the appeals process.
The project is now in preparation for the construction phase of the works, finalizing the final details of the design and finishes. Photographs show original construction.
