A Homebuyer Report is a detailed and informative report on a property’s general condition and make up. Unlike Building Surveys, Homebuyer’s Reports are in a tabular format which follow the construction elements of the building rather than the layout. It is best suited for prospective buyers of modern houses and flats who want to know about any key defects and the construction details of the property (and its local environment) before a potential purchase.
Homebuyer Reports offer an easy to understand traffic light system. This will assign a condition code to each element of the property with a detailed explanation, this makes it simple to read but it does not have the level of detail found in a building survey. A Homebuyers report containing an insurance re-build cost and it also includes a valuation.
