Since the Party Wall Act 1996 any proposed works potentially affecting a party wall require building owners and their neighbours (adjoining owners) to follow procedures to protect the interests of both parties. The process involves the issuing of notices and the appointment of a surveyor who will produce an agreement (an award) which is binding on each party.
G Dolden & Associates are able to assist with this process for both the Building Owner proposing the works and the Adjoining Owner whose property may be affected. We can operate as a jointly appointed surveyor for both parties or act independently for either party reviewing the proposed plans and their implications, dealing with the notices to be served, preparing a schedule of condition and acting as an intermediary with architects, surveyors and contractors, as required.
Thanks again, this really is much appreciated; I will certainly recommend you to anyone who asks if I know a good surveyor. - Chris P
